Additional Notes: This cap is part of the traditional Abendmahl folk costume worn by Protestant women in Marburg. Made of white cotton with no embellishment besides decorative pleating to reflect the austerity of the Abendmahl period. The remainder of this particular folk costume is completely black as shown in the reference images above.
