Description: Scarce volume about the traditional whitework embroidery/lace of the Roznov region in the Czech Republic. Only 500 copies of this detailed book were published and it covers the embroidery found on local folk costumes. Emphasis is placed on the characteristic “zuby” (teeth) which decorate the front of bonnets, as well as collars, cuffs and other elements of folk costume. Dozens of photographs of antique embroidered folk textiles from museum collections. The book also includes 14 pages (7 sheets, front/back) of simple embroidery patterns.
