Additional Notes: A beautiful, highly decorative example of an embroidered apron from the village of Polomka in central Slovakia. Undoubtedly part of elaborate church dress by a young woman for festive occasions – a true showpiece. Gorgeous floral motifs accompanied by the maker’s name “Hanka” and her initials incorporated into the design. Feels like bleached linen cloth edged with finely pleated wide cotton lace trim. Folds neatly into a pleated bundle for storage.
