Additional Notes: This style of long rectangular apron was worn throughout northern Bulgaria and was made in a wide range of colors and designs. This example features stylized floral motifs on an off-white ground with black velvet trim and lace around the border. The final image above shows a girl wearing a very similar apron in the early 20th century.
