Measurements (with garments laying flat):
Across front: 18″ between underarms
Length: 18″
Additional Notes: Gorgeous heavy vest made of indigo-dyed blueprint linen and decorated with various types of trim and characteristic old buttons. The contrasting piping design on the back is made from recycled old printed red cotton shawls. The bottom panel on the front is plain as it would be covered by the skirt and apron so there was no need to use the more costly dyed cloth for this area. Vests with metallic trim were considered to be the most fancy and worn for the largest holidays and special occasions.
