Description
Origin: Slovakia | Puchov region | Zariecie
Era: Early 20th century (circa 1910-1930)
Condition: good; faint stains on sleeves; very small hole; light general wear; suitable for both wear and display
Measurements (with garments laying flat):
Across front: 27″ side to side fully stretched
Length: approximately 20″ in front
Sleeves: 21.5″ from collar to cuff
Additional Notes: Simple cotton blouse from the Puchov region of western Slovakia with hand embroidery on the cuffs and collar. In the interest of economy, only the sleeves are made from better quality fabric and the rest of the blouse is made of simpler cotton as it would be less seen when worn under a dress. The blouse is also longer in the front than in the back where it would have been almost entirely covered. Sewn completely by hand. Difficult to measure due to the flowy/open cut that accommodates a range of sizes.
