Additional Notes: Traditional folk costume from the Rusyn village of Jakubany in the Spis region of the Carpathian Mountains. The skirt and apron are both made of indigo-dyed, homespun blueprint linen. The apron is trimmed with lace. The jacket is made of purple brocade floral fabric with bands of colored trim around the edges. Complete with an old damask woven kerchief with floral motifs.
