Additional Notes: Excellent matched three-piece set from the village of Zibritov in central Slovakia. Includes a white cotton blouse with embroidery around the collar and cuffs; a red brocade vest with sewn-on trim; and a heavily embellished cap. Take note of the unique ruffle finish on the end of the blouse cuffs – typical of Zibritov. Costumes from this village are seldom seen and have a particularly elegant quality to them due to the crisp colors. The skirt and apron are typically blueprint or black with minimal decoration.
