Measurements (with garments laying flat):
Waist: 30″ around
Length: 26.5″
Additional Notes: A cheerful skirt that could beautifully complement any ethnic ensemble. Striped cotton skirts came into fashion during the inter-war era and were a simpler alternative to similarly striped wool skirts previously woven at home. The final aesthetic is similar, but the technique was much simpler and allowed for considerable time savings during an era when commercially woven fabrics were becoming more accessible to the peasant population. Left flat (not pleated) on the front were the skirt would have traditionally been covered by an apron.
