Additional Notes: Traditional linen woman’s dress from the Mariovo region of southern Macedonia with heavy wool embroidery. Such dresses were traditionally worn with sleeves, but the sleeves were often removed to put on another dress or taken off for separate washing. This dress was collected in 2000 by Macedonian folk dress enthusiast Naeda Robinson and is featured on page 40 of her book “Macedonian Village Dress” (published 2009).
