Condition: good; small holes along skirt bottom edge; fraying to bottom edge of jacket; minor wear consistent with age; suitable for both wear and display

Jacket – across front: 17.5″ between underarms

Shawl: 59″ x 15″ not including 7″ fringe
Additional Notes: Traditional costume from Ochsenfurt worn during Lent and times of mourning. Jacket and apron trimmed with antique silver metallic ribbon. Finely pleated black skirt dating to the beginning of the 20th century with black floral ribbon bands along bottom and yellow facing. The apron was modified at some point to make it longer by adding a piece of black fabric at the top. The hand-knit wristbands are a more recent addition to the costume and likely date to the second half of the 20th century.
